    Hi i have 40000 gallon salt water diving pool that is filled with an alge that wont go away after dumping chemicals after chemicals on top of it its not helping at all what can i do to stop this problem

    Have you had the Phosphate levels checked? High Phosphate levels are the #1 cause of chronic algae in properly chlorinated pools.

    Vanson makes a great phosphate remover.

    Rack is correct. Phosphates = Steroids for Algae. A poor circ. system can also be to blame. In even well balanced pools, if the chlorine can't get to certain spots in time, in sufficient strength, you can get an algae problem. Hence the algae problems in the bottom corners of deep ends.
