I used to buy 29% muriatic acid at Home Depot.  Recently, I was shocked to see that while the price has continued to drift up, the concentration is now 14.5%.  That means that the price has DOUBLED.  I checked Leslie and found the same 14.5% at about the same price as Home Depot.

What happened to make this change?  What has your experience been.

Thanks for making me run to the garage, where I had purchased 2 gallons of  acid from lowes that was still in the cardboard box. It was cheaper than the pool store, so thats why I tried it. but if it was 14%, I was gonna be mad. The containers though said 31%.
