  • Spa leaks after removing nitch.

I removed the nitch to pull in new light fixture in my in ground fiberglass spa, since then it has been leaking about 4'' a day and goes to nitch level, it will go lower but the rate is much slower and I think living in Florida it is probably evaporation. My questions are where is the seal take place, where the light fixture fits into the nitch, or is there to be water behind the light 12V to keep it cool Actual light bulb is isolated from the water by seal. It does not appear to me that this is where the seal takes place, but then I saw nothing on the old set up that would make a seal where the wire enter the nitch. I was told at a local pool shop to spray foam insulation into the hole in the nitch, but that didn't work I have tried epoxy but no luck either. I am thinking of trying to dry out inside of nitch and trying to seal everything with silicon. I did silicon around the rim of the nitch when I put it back. Sorry for long post, any help would be appreciated.
